COBS Passover 2022 – LIVE!!! (click here for more info)
April 23, 2022 @ 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm
We are planning some changes for this year. Our wonderful caterer, Sequim Fresh, recently retired. Since we would be seeking a new caterer at a time where we would want to be able to cancel at the last moment, we have decided that is not the best way to start a relationship, so we will forgo a caterer. Instead, this will be a potluck – no leavening (flour). We still plan to have all the ritual foods and the nonritual traditional Jewish fare, so we will be asking you to sign up for those items as well as a potluck dish as you RSVP. Let us know what you plan to bring as your potluck item (side dish, main dish, salad, or dessert), so we can make sure we have a good representation of all items. If bringing one of the ritual foods or a potluck dish is a challenge, no worries, we always seem to have more than enough of everything.
One thing that will not change is having Susan Stombaugh, our truly wonderful friend and Seder leader back again to lead the event. It will be so GOOD to see all of you in person (fingers still crossed)!
To attend you will need to:
1: RSVP – We absolutely need an RSVP by 4/15 from everyone – if you do not RSVP, you cannot attend
2: Provide proof of vaccination and a booster at the door.
3: In addition, take a home COVID test the day of the event
3: Bring a potluck dish (no flour please).
4: Dress warmly as we may need to open some windows for ventilation.
5: Non dues paying members are asked to pay a fee of $10.00 – this can be paid at the door. If this is a barrier to your attendance just let us know.
6: If you sign up for a ritual food plan to arrive 30 minutes early so we can get everything on the table and ready to start.
7: Bring your seder plate if you like – we try to fill the seder plates, so all tables are near one.
Date: April 23, 2022
Time: 3:30 pm for set up and delivery of ritual foods, 4:00 pm (ish) start
Place: OUUF Church – 1033 North Barr Road (about hallway between Sequim and Port Angeles and between Old Olympic and Highway 101)
